Dans le dernier numéro de la revue The Paris Review, un très beau reportage photo de Raymond Depardon sur douze villes et commandé par la Fondation Cartier pour l'art contemporain (comme je parlais de mécénat hier...) ainsi qu'une entrevue avec l'écrivain américain Norman Mailer.
Au sujet de la vanité des écrivains, il explique: "...vanity is something that we all have to approach and walk around with great care. It can destroy a good part of us if we get into it. You know, you really have to be able to exhale, just exhale, and say, Why don't we just leave it to history?
Venant de Norman Mailer, c'est un peu surprenant compte tenu sa personnalité mais aussi rassurant.
